About

Joanne de Guardiola is the principal of Joanne de Guardiola Design, Inc. After almost a decade designing at the renowned Parish Hadley, she opened her own business in 1998. She has completed numerous projects across the United States with a focus on residential interiors. 

De Guardiola’s acclaimed work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Town & Country Magazine, Elle Décor, House Beautiful, Super Yacht Magazine, ShowBoats International, The New York Times, and the Palm Beach Daily News. When actively decorating, she was a member of the Architectural Digest 100.

She and her husband have been married for over thirty years and raised their two children in Manhattan. They now live and work in Palm Beach, Florida. A graduate of Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA, she was finishing her design degree at Parsons School of Design when Albert Hadley hired her. Her first project was assisting Sister Parish on Henryk de Kwiatkowski’s famed Calumet Farms in Lexington Kentucky.

While balancing her family and children’s time along with her design business, community service and philanthropy have been an important part of her life.  Active in several charities, she has been a board member of the Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering in Manhattan for over 30 years.

She is currently working on developing a new luxury goods company featuring her own designs and select international designers. Her extensive travels and past design experience have been a major influence on her new venture.
